WWDC 2020 – Day 1

iOS 14

Picture-In-Picture

Apple announced the new iOS 14 feature in WWDC 2020 – Day 1. The picture-in-picture feature is the most dazzling one, and some of the screen saving functionalities are added by Apple in following apps. ..

Siri: Now, when you activate Siri, it will not take up half of your screen. It will be shown as a small animated icon at the bottom of the screen. And Siri comes up with some other functionalities too, like now Siri can send audio messages, and can answer a diverse range of questions with accurate information fetched from the Internet.

FaceTime is now able to handle incoming calls and video calls better. You can easily complete the background task while picking up and talking on a call.

Messages

  • A new “quick actions” bar that lets you quickly access your most used apps and features
  • A new “tweakability” feature that lets you fine-tune the look and feel of your phone
  • A new “notifications center” that includes a list of all your notifications, as well as a quick action bar for managing them
  • Improved performance and stability when using the app with older devices

Messages with new updates will also have @mentions in group messages, so this means whether a group chat is muted if a person’s name is not mentioned in the group so he/she will not get a notification. ..

With the iOS 14, there are new Memoji, stickers, and Memoji’s with more than 20 new styles. Memoji stickers include new stickers for high school, college, and adult life styles. There are also face masks and age options for Memoji.

Translate App

The translate app is a great way to communicate with people from different languages. It can be used on-device or in conversation mode. The on-device mode lets you download the translations for use in your own language, and the conversation mode speaks up the translations so that you can chat with someone who is using a different language.

Apple Maps

How to unlock your car with the iPhone:

  1. Tap the “Unlock” button on the iPhone’s lock screen.
  2. Place the iPhone near the car’s NFC reader. The phone will start beeping and will display a message onscreen asking you to confirm that you want to unlock the car. 3. iPadOS

The iPad is a powerful computer that can do more than just tablets. With the new iPadOS 14, it has several new features that make it even more powerful. For example, picture-in-picture mode will not capture the entire screen, so you can use a smaller portion of the screen to interact with other apps. And another great feature is that you can easily navigate with other interactive features by using a bunch of different buttons and menus.

The music player has been redesigned to include a new sidebar that allows you to easily navigate between albums, singers, other genres. Additionally, the interactive UI has been updated to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.
