Leaks Suggest that Pixel 5a, Foldable Pixel are Coming Next Year
According to a report from 9to5 Google, an internal Android document reviewed by them suggests that Google is designing Android builds for the Google Pixel 5a, the Foldable Pixel, and at least two more devices. The reviewed document comprises a list of all publicly-launched Pixel devices which are running on builds of Google’s mobile operating system. ..
According to a leaked document, there will be a Pixel 5a device released in the fourth quarter of this year. The document also lists other codenamed devices, such as “barbette” and “raven.” These codenamed devices may hint at upcoming Pixel devices that may launch in the next year. ..
Pixel 6 is said to be codenamed “raven” and it is speculated that this could be the model that will feature a foldable design. It is also possible that this Pixel could also have a new name, as “oriole” has been suggested as a possible codename for the device. It is unknown at this time what the final name of Pixel 6 will be, but we can expect it to be announced in the near future.
Leaked and reviewed documents suggest that Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 are scheduled for October launch, with the same documents also mentioning the delay in Pixel 4a. Pixel 5a is labeled with a different launch time frame, i.e. “Q2 2021″, as it is described as a “lower end mid-year device”. ..
