Method #1 Restart the Windows Update Service to fix 0x80070422 error

To restart Windows Update service, you must log into the PC from an Administrator account. This is necessary to operate Windows Update.

In the Services window, type in netstat and hit enter. You will see a list of all the network services running on your computer. You can select one by clicking on it and then clicking on the Details button to get more information about it.

Windows Update: After locating the “Windows Update” option, you should right-click on it and choose the option “Properties”. Service status: The service should be set to be “Running”.

If the services you use are stopped, right-click on each one and select “Start.” ..

After following the instructions, you should now see that the 0x80070422 error is fixed. ..

Method #2 Go to Network Center and disable IPv6 to fix 0x80070422 error

If you are having trouble connecting to the internet, one possible solution is to disable IPv6 on your computer. This can be done through the Network Center in Windows. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the Network Center by clicking on the Start button and typing “Network Center” in the search bar.
  2. Click on “Network and Sharing Center.”
  3. Under “Network Connections,” click on “Manage Network Connections.”
  4. Under “TCP/IPv4 Settings,” uncheck the box next to “Use IPv6.”
  5. Click on “OK” to save your changes and close the Network Center window. ..

Press Windows+X key and select the option “Network Connections“.In the Network and Sharing Center window, go to the “Network Connections” tab. Select your network connection from the list and click on “Properties”. In the Properties window, under “General”, make sure that the “Use the following DNS server addresses” is set to “Yes”. Under “IPv4 Address”, type in your primary IPv4 address which is usually assigned to your computer when it was purchased or leased. Under “Subnet Mask”, type in 255.255.255.0 and click on OK button. Underneath your primary IPv4 address, type in your secondary IPv4 address which is also assigned to you by your ISP or network administrator when you first got connected to the internet. Click on OK button to save changes made in this window. ..

You can now find the connection which is activated right now. Then, click on the option to see the detailed information of the same connection.You can then click on the option “Properties”.Make sure that you locate TCP/IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) from the available options. Then, you should click on the box, uncheck it. You can then click on “OK” to save all the changes you have made.

Method #3 Disable Network List Service to fix 0x80070422 error
